Smart Motion Detection

With the Plus or Premium plan, Object Detection sends alerts to specify when a person, package, vehicle, or animal is detected. This feature allows you more control on what types of alerts you receive.

Person Recognition

Get alerts when your camera detects a familiar person that you have previously named. Feel safer knowing family and friends have arrived home safely, or take action when strangers approach your front door.

• Easily set up this feature through the Arlo Secure App.
• Simply name people that appear in the unrecognized people category.

Package Detection

Package Detection allows you to receive alerts when your Arlo camera or doorbell sees a package being picked up or dropped off. Once the feature is turned on you will receive alerts for packages as small as a shoebox, so you can retrieve it—before someone else does.

Vehicle Recognition

Get alerts when your camera detects a familiar vehicle. Feel safer knowing if it's "Dad's Car" in the driveway, a courier, or an unknown car.

• Easily set up this feature through the Arlo Secure App.
• Simply name vehicles that appear in the unrecognized vehicles category.

Custom Detection (Beta)

Teach your camera to recognize certain objects or changes in view so you get specific notifications like "garage open” or “sprinklers on.”

Audio Detection

Smoke and Carbon Monoxide dangers can rapidly escalate. When Arlo cameras detect a smoke or CO alarm, you will be notified so you can take action quickly.

Animal Detection
